Conventions of an Ident
- Usually contains the name of the channel that the viewer is watching; designed to convey the theme/purpose of the channel. (e.x. bubble text for cbeebies as it is a kid's channel.)
- Dialogue giving the user information such as what programmes are going to air next, what channel the user is watching or just some fun little skit in-between shows that's presented to viewers.
- Graphics to present the channel's personality (the usage of colours, images, etc.)
- Also presents what show is airing now.
